Shawlography MKAL completed! And I’m not quite sure if I really like the result.
Finished objects are flaunted, Shawlography MKAL spoiler and the and the winners of the fair-isle vest knit-a-long has been announced 🥳 in a new episode of the podcast!
I’m crawling towards the finish line on my Fantastitch shawl, I have reached the final section and finishing chevron border! And to break off from those long rows I’ve been swatching for a new knit - fair-isle slipover Nighthawk!
In celebration of Norway’s national day I’ve donned my bunad for this episode. It is a costume from the Hallingdal region and handmade by my mum. Next I miserably show my very large completed Skye pullover… It’s not all fails though, I am enjoying my most recent cast on - the Fantastich shawl by Stephen West!
Product knit for the win! So very pleased with the result, but oh my how I was bored knitting it. I was sorely tempted to put it aside and do something more fun (for me) on several occasions. But I knew it would just crawl into a corner forgotten if I did. Instead I now have in my wardrobe one of the garments I’m most pleased with and will probably wear a ton.
My version of Rocquaine pullover was finally finished at the end of February after nearly six months in the WIP-pile, completely missing the self-imposed deadline of the #rocquainealong. No surprise there. I have only now gotten around to write a post about it.
