Episode 23: Long last rows and swatching for fair-isle
I’m crawling towards the finish line on my Fantastitch shawl, I have reached the final section and finishing chevron border! And to break off from those long rows I’ve been swatching for a new knit - fair-isle slipover Nighthawk!
What I’m wearing
I’ve got my April Cardigan by Petite Knit (@petiteknit) on today. Completed in June 2020. Details for my version on Rav. This cardigan is knit with one strand Hillesvåg Vilje (Abelone) hand dyed by Værbitt Garn and one strand Tynn Silk Mohair (Steel grey 6707) by Sandnes Garn.
On the needles (yes, still)
The Fantastitch by Stephen West (@westknits) is still going strong and I’m on the last section now, ready to work that endless chevron border. Yarns used are Stranded Dyeworks BFL Nylon, NinaPetrina BFL, Værbitt Hillesvåg Sølje and Rauma Alpakka Lin.
