Apr 24 Episode 17: Another amigurumi and back with Skye

Another little amigurumi friend has been completed! This week has seen the Kuutar yoke completed, the boys jumper has been tossed aside and the Skye pullover has been picked up again and I’m working up the last sleeve.

What I’m wearing

I knit the “Balloon” Cardigan by Petite Knit back in 2018 and it has been one of my most used garments since. For my green version I have used 2 strands Merino Extra, a random brand spun in Italy and bought in Riga, (colourway 595 and 432) and 1 strand Drops Kid Silk (colourway 19 Dark Green). On the needles (work in progress)

I’ve picked back the “Skye” pullover this week after having completed the yoke on my “Kuutar”. Skye is a design by Marie Wallin published in her “North Sea” collection. It can also be bought as an individual knitting pattern in her Ravelry store. The yarn used is Rowan Felted Tweed in “Duck egg” and “Barn Red”.

Bound off/ Finished object

“Lily the Lamb” by Khuc Cay from the book “Sweet Crochet Friends” was started and completed this week and I very much enjoyed making this cute little lamb. It will find a good home very soon. For my amigurumi I like using the cotton yarns from Scheepjes, this time I’ve used Catona and Stone Washed.
