Hi!

Welcome to my blog. I am Silje and I document my thoughts, ramblings and adventures in knitting, fibre arts, and all things crafty. Hope you have a nice stay!

Episode 18: Skye's the limit

I’ve been a monogamous knitter this week and stuck to my plan of getting the Skye pullover done. Another week done, celebrating with a fresh craft beer this time as this episode sees more of the usual banter about settling to life in Norway and other distractions.

What I’m wearing

I made the Half Hansel Hap by Gudrun Johnston when first I was back in Norway spring of 2018. It is a squishy, warm and simple to knit design that I have worn a lot the past few years. My version is done in Hillesvåg Ask (6054 Light Grey), Hillesvåg Tinde (2107 Lime) and Jamieson's of Shetland Shetland Spindrift (150 Atlantic, 423 Burnt Ochre and 1190 Burnt Umber). You can get both half and full hap versions on Ravelry.

On the needles (work in progress)

Skye pullover by Marie Wallin is still on my needles. I’ve completed both sleeves and am on to elongating the body with another rapport of the twisted stitch pattern. Skye is published in the “North Sea” collection on Marie Wallins website. But you can also get it as an individual knitting pattern on Ravelry and Lovecrafts. The yarn I’m using is Rowan Felted Tweed in “Duck egg” and “Barn Red”.
