Episode 16: Small knits and bunnies
The boy's new pullover is coming along nicely and I’ve got a new amigurumi bunny to show off. As ever I wonder about what to pick up and knit next week. Too many WIPs!
Yarns, patterns and people mentioned in this episode
What I’m wearing
I’ve donned the “Levenwik” Cardigan by Gurdun Johnston. Yarns used in this knit are Holst Garn Supersoft and Pickles Merino Tweed, the two strands held together. Pattern calls for Shelter from Brooklyn Tweed but this combo worked out nicely. Get the pattern website on Brooklyn Tweeds website.
On the needles
This week I worked the body of the “Timothy” pullover, a sweater for the 5 year old from the pattern booklet Finull 311 by Rauma Garn. I’m using a superwash yarn from Sandnes Garn called SISU.
I picked the “Ogee” tank by Sari Nordlund out of the hibernating WIP-pile. This lacework pattern was published in PomPom Magazine Summer 2019. Should try to finish it before summer. I am knitting this in Eden Cottage Millburn 4 ply.
Bound off
“Vivi the Bunny” by Khuc Cay from the book “Sweet Crochet Friends” has been completed! She is a sweet amigurumi bunny destined for a little baby girl. My yarn of choice for these toys are still Scheepjes Catona and Scheepjes Denim. It has a really nice finish and they have a lovely selection of colours.
