Episode 14: States of hibernation

Episode 14: States of hibernation

Heading into the Easter weekend totally unprepared, as always. Work done on the Granny Square pullover and Sari Nordlund's lace yoke design, Kuutar. Bonus make of the week was a little amigurumi bunny. 🐇

Yarns, patterns and people mentioned in this episode

What I’m wearing

I’ve thrown on one of my most used and favourite cardigans in this episode. It is the “Netherton Cardigan” by Lydia Gluck. Completed in 2014 it has worn exceptionally well and the yarn I used was Shilasdair Luxury DK 40/40/20 - a blend of cashmere, angora and wool. Netherton was first published in PomPom Magazine issue 1 and can be bought as a single pattern on Ravelry.

On the needles (work in progress)

“Kuutar” pullover by Sari Nordlund (@sari_n_) is bringing me much joy to knit. Keeping me awake stitch by stitch. Get it on Ravelry. The yarn used is Superwash Merino DK by Millas Mikrofargeri in “Kobbertak”.

Classic Granny Pullover, not a pattern, just done after my own head. Experimenting with crochet. Mostly rustic fingering weight 2 ply wool.

Bound off (finished object)

Spur of the moment need for something cute resulted in “Buddy Bunny” by Lydia Tresselt. Pattern in the 4 seasons Easter set along with a chick and a sheep friend too. Amigurumi pattern can be bought on Ravery or her website.

New cast ons and future makes

“Vivi the Bunny” by  Khuc Cay from the book “Sweet Crochet Friends”

Music

“Hanging on by a thread” by Rod Deville
