Episode 22: Knit all the vests! And wear them. Maybe.
Checking in with my progress on Fantastitch shawl and the beginnings of amigurumi dragon Dirk. Short and sweet since I've not knitted much since last week. 😏 I have however compiled a not so short list of fair isle vests and waistcoats to inspire! Perhaps I'll even manage to work one into my wardrobe in the future?
What I’m wearing
Soldotna Crop by Caitlin Hunter (@boylandknitworks)
I’m sporting my version of the cropped top on everybodys knit list in 2019. I am thrilled with how the colourway turned out, but not so much the fit. Details for my version on Rav. It is knit in 100% SW Merino hand dyed by Tweedy Todd (no longer dying 😭)
On the needles (work in progress)
Fantastitch by Stephen West (@westknits)
Still going strong on my shawl even though the rows are long and I’ve hit the twisted rib section. Yarns used are Stranded Dyeworks BFL Nylon (Orange Tabby), NinaPetrina BFL (OOAK Olive), Værbitt Hillesvåg Sølje (Nøtt Nøtting) and Rauma Alpakka Lin (1384 Sennep, 1364 Jadegrønn and 6560 Natur). I got the pattern on Ravelry.

Dirk the Dragon by Lydia Tresselt (@lalylala)
Hooking this one up in my go to amigurumi yarn, Scheepjes Cantona on a size 2,5 mm hook. Get the pattern for Dirk on Laly Lala's stores listed below.

All the fair-isle knit vests! I have made a collection on Ravelry with some of my favourite patterns. I will keep adding to this list as I find new inspiring designs. The link is open to all, also non-ravellers.
